Anita Mae Gorman of Caledonia, Missouri, was born on March 31, 1930, in Banner, Missouri, a daughter of the late Oscar Lee Hopkins, and the late Carrie (Daring) Hopkins. Anita passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, having reached the age of 92.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughter, Fern Schalk (husband, Dale); grandchildren: Crystal Masson (husband, Bradley), Katie Schalk, Tiffani Filippi (husband, Tyler); great-grandchildren: Mariah Masson (fiance, Preston Olinger) Briley Masson, Brett Masson; and dear friend, Dr. William McKinney. Anita is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Sonny" Edgar Gorman; daughter, Veronica Lynn Gorman; granddaughter, Angela Schalk; and siblings: William "Bill" Hopkins, Leona Hill, and Sarah McEntyre.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 11 am until the time of her funeral service at 1 pm. Internment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
