Obituary for Brenda Joyce Cowley (Arndt)
Brenda Joyce Cowley of Potosi, Missouri, was born on February 11, 1941, in Hopewell, Missouri, a daughter of the late Aulden and Dorothy (Gibson) Arndt. Brenda passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-one years, one month, and twenty-seven days.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband of twenty-nine years, Thomas Cowley; children: Scott Harris (wife, Elizabeth), and Jimmy Harris (wife, Peggy); stepchildren: Tommy Cowley, Debbie Keith (husband, Joe), and Cindy Cowley; grandchildren: Justin Harris, Travis Harris, Jamie McMahan, Bobby Fowler, Gina Herrell, Nicole Harris, and Jessica Harris; step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step great grandchildren; in-laws: Nolan Daugherty, and Alberta Arndt; sisters: Judy Woodside (husband, David), and Diane McKinley (husband, Mike). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and additional brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Candy Cowley; siblings: Delores “Dee” Yount (husband, Jim), Farrell Arndt (wife, Sharon), Rita Daugherty, and Darrell Arndt.
Brenda enjoyed going to out eat, camping and watching the baseball games with her dad. She was helpful, kindhearted, and was good to her family. Although she went through an extensive medical battle, she remained strong and pushed on to fight.
A Visitation for Brenda will be Monday, April 11, 2022, from 9:30 am to 1 pm. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 1 pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bobbie Brown. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Mineral Point.
