Brian L. Murray, 62, Dittmer
Brian Leonard Murray of Dittmer, Missouri, was born on November 25, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son to the late Leonard Everett Murray, and the late Sabina (Meyer) Murray. Brian passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Brian loved the outdoors and spending time with his brother Joe maintaining the family’s country place in Potosi. He was a devoted son, father, and grandfather. Brian was a hard worker and liked to hold court with his workmates. (He was an excellent project manager.) Brian did not have an easy life, but lived it to the fullest and with no regrets. A lesser man would have despaired of his difficulties and ailments, but Brian never gave up. His big heart and his generosity will be his legacy.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his mother, Kathryn Murray; sons: Matthew Wade (Jessica), James Brumgard III; grandchildren: Heidi Brumgard, Levi Wade, Delaney Wade; siblings: Jean Goodwin (Sam Cox), Barbara Bohler (James), Joe Grothe, Steve Grothe, Donna Murray (Timothy Petzoldt); and 4-legged friend, Amber. Brian was also a dear uncle to Christopher Goodwin, Jason Bohler, Amanda Bohler, Justin Grothe; and survived by great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Murray and mother, Sabina Murray.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday November 26, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4220 Ripa Ave., St. Louis, MO 63125 with a luncheon to follow in the school cafeteria at St. Mark.
