Obituary for Clyde Kenneth Brooks
Clyde Kenneth Brooks of Belgrade, Missouri was born on May 14, 1924, a son to the late William Medde Brooks and the late Lettie (Shipp) Brooks. Clyde entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2020 having reached ninety-five years of age.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Ilene (Sumpter) Brooks; daughter, Dorothy Brooks; sister, Beulah Harbison; and brothers: Clifford Brooks, Calvin Brooks, Cletis "Pete" Brooks, and Claude Brooks.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie (Carl "Bill") Meyer; sisters: Eula Sumpter and Pauline Thompson; three grandchildren: Becky (John) VanOstran, Pat (Stephanie) Meyer, and James (Megan) Meyer; seven great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews and extended family members.
At this time, viewing hours are closed to immediate family members only.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Mount Pleasant cemetery in Goodland, Missouri. Pastor Paul Davis will officiate the service. Mr. Brooks will receive full military honors provided by the United State Army. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
