Obituary for Dennis "Bill" Landers

Dennis William Landers also known by family and friends as Bill, was born on October 31, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to Charles William Landers and Estelle (Lewis) Landers. On August 1, 1969, Bill was united in marriage to Susan F. Richard and they were blessed with 52 years filled with love and memories together.

Bill loved his family with all of his heart. Family was everything to him. His family would often hear him say “I love you ten times more than you love me, and I said it first”. Sue was the love of his life and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

The year 2021 was a life changing year for Bill. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on December 26, 2021 at Elevate Faith Church in Farmington where he and Sue along with their family attend. From the moment Bill encountered the change in his heart and life after being saved, he carried a passion to share the gospel with all he came in contact with. He loved the Lord and was not ashamed.

On the evening of Sunday, February 27, 2022, Bill’s faith became his sight. Bill went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his baby girl, Beth Ann. Bill had reached 75 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sue Landers; three children: Tami (Randy) Forster, Tracie (Brent) Daugherty, and Jason Landers; six grandchildren: Ashley (Josh) Harrison, Brooke (David) Orrick, Nick (Ashley) Daugherty, Zac (Erika) Forster, Blake (Gabe) Smith, and Jacie Daugherty and Fiancé Preston Hart; thirteen great grand-babies: Sofia, Spence Judah, Kendalynn, Stella, David, Hattie Sue, Norah, Rhett, Myles, Penelope, Lucy, Quinn, Lennox; and two soon coming great grand-babies: Eleanor and Porter. Bill also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family who will forever love and miss him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Estelle Landers; daughter, Beth Ann Landers; infant brother, Terry Dale Landers and brother, Larry Landers.
