Doris June Jenkins of Terre du Lac, Missouri, went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 having reached the age of 82 years and 5 months. Doris was born on December 31, 1939 in Washington County, Missouri. On October 6, 1957, Doris was united in marriage to Edward “Eddie” Jenkins and three children were born to this union. Eddie and Doris shared 50 years of marriage together. Doris loved her family so much. She was always there to support her children in all endeavors. Doris enjoyed going to sporting events to cheer for her grandchildren. Doris attended First Baptist Church of Potosi. Her memory will be forever cherished.

Those left behind to continue her legacy include her son, Rick Jenkins and wife, Dana; daughter, Jamie Meinershagen and husband, Shawn; six grandchildren: Justin, Paige, Joshua, Jacob and wife Ainslee, Ivy and Jason; soon coming great grandson, Bo; two sisters: Sherry Hosking and Nancy Dill; sister-in-law, Burnadeen Yost; and many other dear family members and special friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Gertrude Marie (Walton) Palmer; beloved husband, Eddie Jenkins; dear son, Robbie Jenkins; and three siblings: Janet Cox, Bruce Wallen, and Jim Wallen.

A Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held at 1 pm, officiated by Pastor Jim Ainley, assisted by Elder Leonard Compton. Interment will follow at Belgrade United Methodist Cemetery in Belgrade, MO.
