Obituary for Elmita Joyce Gensler (Fann)

Elmita Joyce Gensler of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on February 9, 1947 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Nolan Edward Fann and the late Edna Bernice (Wilkinson) Fann. Elmita went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 having reached the age of seventy-three years, five months and five days.

On December 26, 1967, Elmita was united in marriage to Billy Joseph Gensler and they shared fifty-two years together.

Elmita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband, Billy Joe Gensler; daughter, Melissa Gensler; son, Christopher Gensler; two sisters: Eileen Wade, Elvira Hinkle and husband Don; In-Laws: Gary Gensler and wife Mary, Arlene Fann, Rick Wade, Judy Politte and husband George; also surviving are nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Elmita was preceded in death by three siblings: Bob Fann, Violet Wade, Gale Breakfield; In-Laws: Rev. Philip Wade, Firman Breakfield, Rob Wade, Betty Wade, Arvin Dean Gensler; and many other dear relatives.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 4:30 to 8 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 9 to 11 AM.

A Funeral Service will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11 AM with Pastor Rick Wade officiating. Interment will follow at New Diggins Cemetery.
