Obituary for Gary Lee Anderson

Gary Lee Anderson of Cadet, Missouri, was born on February 4, 1955, in East St. Louis, IL, a son of the late Edward & Bessie (Worley) Anderson. Gary passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, having reached the age of sixty-seven years, one month, and one day.

On November 18, 1977, Gary was united in marriage to Connie Kite, and they spent nearly 44 years together.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Anderson; children: Angel Anderson (Ryan Hernandez), Shannon Anderson, Misty Anderson (Mike Webb), Gary J. Anderson, Amanda Anderson (Brian Perry); grandchildren: Destiny, Josh, Desire, JJ, Zac, Anastasia, Heaven, Cheyenne, Dylan, Jordan, Cameron, Steven, Gary, Kloey, and Nevaeh; great grandchildren: Jayce, Ellie, Noah, Hunter, Ariel, Hazel, Houston, Bryce, and Harper; sister, Wanda Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pam Kite, Allen Kite, Dennis Kite, Trina Kite, Eddie Kite, Loretta Kite, and Joyce Roberts. Gary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his siblings: Ruby Anderson, Ethel Robinson, Joyce Anderson, James Cain, Many Jane Meinhardt, Carl Anderson, Ronnie Anderson, Sonny Anderson, and Ronnie Anderson; father and mother-in-law: Jim and Phyllis Kite; nephews, Steven Roberts, and James “Son” Kite III.


Gary loved many things, including fishing, hunting, traveling, junking, and listening to music. When he was younger, he loved to also play baseball. He is an ex-member of Free Spirits Motorcycle Club.

A Visitation for Gary will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 9 to 11 am.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 11 am at the DeClue Memorial Chapel, officiated by Bro. Alan Berry. Interment will follow at New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point.
