Obituary for Glennes Faye Fryman (Johnston)

Glennes Faye Fryman of Potosi, Missouri, was born on October 25th, 1955 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a daughter of the late Glenn and Lillie Faye (Morgan) Johnston. Glennes went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at the age of 67.

Glennes was united in marriage to Randy Fryman on June 21st, 1975 at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Shirley, Missouri. They shared 47 years of life and love together. Glennes was a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was baptized on April 15th, 1973 as a young girl. Glennes loved her family, especially her grandbabies. They were her world. She was proud of her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Glennes was a longtime member of Potosi Lions Club and served as Washington County Fair Secretary. She was a founding member of the Potosi Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, served as past manager of the Potosi Dollar General Store, past owner of John Wayne Video, and later retired from Ozarks Federal Savings and Loan in 2009 after approximately 25 years of service.

Those left behind to treasure her memory include her husband, Randy Fryman; two sons: Gary Fryman (wife, Angie) and Kyle Fryman (wife, Jamie); six grandchildren: Olivia (Mike) Riley, Brittany (Darren) Thomas, Timothy Ames, Klaire, Brooklynne, and Everett Fryman; two great grandchildren: Liam and Macie Thomas; two sisters: Denise Coleman (husband, Robert "Chapman") and Donna Sharp (husband, Keith); father-in-law and mother-in-law: Golden "Pug" and Shirley Fryman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Mike and Lisa Jo Heflin; nieces and nephews: Andy and Kara Pashia, Cliff Coleman, Chad and Melody Pashia, Robyn and Al Gravatt, Sarah and Kevin Schnieders, and Austin Heflin. Glennes also leaves behind many great nieces, great nephews, and a host of church family and dear friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Glennes was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Roy and Myrtle (Freeman) Johnston and maternal grandparents: Charles Otis and Eathel (Lawson) Morgan.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 25th, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Sunday, March 26th, from 1 to 3 PM at White Oak Grove Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 26th, 2023 at 3 PM at White Oak Grove Baptist Church. Glennes’ service will be officiated by Pastors Scott Welty, Jeff Richards and Leonard Compton. Interment will follow at White Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery.
