Obituary for Herbert Joseph McKeown
Herbert Joseph McKeown of Robertsville, Missouri, was born on February 26, 1947, in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Carl McKeown and the late Marie (Gabel) McKeown. Herb passed away on December 13, 2022, having reached the age of 75.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: Regina Antle and Kent, Diane Wohlgemuth and Dave, and Lisa Wells; and seven grandchildren. Herb also leaves behind great grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his brother, Carl, and sister, Helen.
Herb retired from the railroad and Teamsters after many years of service as a railroad mechanic. Herb served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1968. He was a big outdoorsman and loved deer hunting and fishing. Most recently, Herb enjoyed feeding the wildlife, especially his foxes. Herb was a skillful marksman.
Inurnment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on January 27, 2023 at 11 am.
