Obituary for Janet Carol (Boyer) Kincaid-Berry

Janet Carol (Boyer) Kincaid Berry of Imperial, Missouri was born on January 29, 1944, a daughter to the late Roy and Marie (Portell) Boyer. Janet passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 having reached the age of 78 years, 4 months and 14 days.

Carol was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Arnold, Missouri. She was a devout catholic. Having grown up in Old Mines, Missouri, Carol graduated from St. Joachim Catholic Church School in 1963. Carol loved her children, grandchildren and family with all of her heart. Carol loved cooking dinner for her family from sweet potatoes to her famous pot roast. She enjoyed her collection of beautiful jewelry, playing “scratch offs” and going to bingo. One of her proudest accomplishments was learning to play piano by ear. Carol was a great pianist. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her four children: Donald (wife, Kris) Kincaid, Angie (husband, Ted) Leigraf, Tina Kincaid, and Michelle (husband, Larry) Douglas; twelve grandchildren: Cindy (husband, Brent) Lay, Tasha (husband, Derek) Trusty, Donald Kincaid Jr., Andrew Siar, Jacob Martin, Jessica Martin, Carly (husband, Luke) Walker, Michael Hoofman, Kayla Kincaid, Cody Douglas, Hanna Douglas, and Allison Leigraf; many great grandchildren; sister, Judy Cain; four step children: Mike Berry, Dean Berry, Gene Berry, and Cathy Berry; and many special nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Kincaid; second husband, Wilbert "Bert" Berry; four children: David Kincaid, Timothy Kincaid, Michael Kincaid, Anthony Kincaid; grandson: Josh Kincaid; and four siblings: Charles "Chuck" Boyer, Larry Boyer, Bill Boyer, Elizabeth "Betty" Eckhoff.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High St., Potosi, MO. 63664. Visitation will resume on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 9 to 10:30 AM.
