Jerry Robert McClain of Caledonia, Missouri, was born on February 15, 1945, in Quaker, Missouri, a son of the late Lloyd McClain and the late Eva (Blair) McClain. Jerry passed away on December 27, 2022 at his home, having reached the age of 77.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Susan McClain; children: Jennifer McClain, Brent McClain and Jarah, Michael McClain (wife, Elizabeth); grandchildren: Dakota McClain (wife, Megan), Levi McClain, Trent McClain and Amelia Orrick Landon McClain, and Jera McClain. Jerry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings: Jackie Lee McClain, Frank Roy McClain, and Irma Jean Fox; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Trenice and Ardath Yount.

A visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. During the visitation at 6 pm, a VFW service will be conducted to honor Jerry. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 9 to 11 am.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11 am, officiated by Pastor David Fitzmaurice, assisted by Elder Leonard Compton. Interment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery where Jerry will receive full military honors by the United State Army and VFW Post 6947.

In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the VFW Post 6947 or Belgrade United Methodist Church Back to School Supplies Fund. Donation envelopes will be provided at DeClue Funeral Home.
