Obituary for Kevin James Thebeau

Kevin James Thebeau of Potosi, Missouri, was born on July 30, 1961 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Vincent and Anna Rose (Sawicki) Thebeau. Kevin entered into rest on Friday, July 15, 2022, having reached the age of 60 years, 11 months and 15 days. On March 3, 1984, Kevin was united in marriage to Tammy Peters, and they shared 38 years together.

Kevin was a member of St. James Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus of Old Mines, and Potosi Elks Lodge #2218. Kevin always had to stay busy doing something. He Loved his family so much, especially his grandchildren. Kevin enjoyed traveling and listening to music especially one of his favorites, John Denver. Kevin enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. Kevin liked cooking food in general, from grilling to baking. He truly enjoyed life. Kevin was a seven-year survivor of Leukemia and was forever great full to the donor who so graciously gave him more time with his family. Kevin's legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved and touched.

Those who remain to treasure his memory include his wife, Tammy Thebeau; three sons: Bradley J Thebeau (wife, Diona), Tyler S Thebeau (wife, Olena), Todd M Thebeau (wife, Kayla); seven grandchildren: Emeri, Carter, Damien, Anna, Noah, Dana and Lucas; four siblings: Carolyn Politte (husband, Jimmy), Bob Thebeau (wife, Rhonda), Dan Thebeau, Tom Thebeau (wife, JoAnn); Kevin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special family friend, Jared Jarvis.

In addition to his father and mother, Kevin was also preceded in death by many dear family members.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 5 to 9 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 20th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11 AM held at St. James Catholic Church. Fr. Rodger Fleming will be officiating Kevin’s service. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served and ministered to the family of Kevin.
