Obituary for Lily Irene Jarvis (Missey)

Lily Irene Jarvis of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 23, 1947 in Berryman, Missouri, a daughter of the late Joseph Missey and the late Sylvia (Wright) Missey. Lily went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 21, 2020 having reached the age of seventy-three years, seven months and twenty-nine days.

On December 12, 1964 Lily was united in marriage to Mac Jarvis Sr. at Adam Bethel Church and they shared nearly fifty-six years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her husband Mac Jarvis Sr.; son, Mac Jarvis Jr. and wife Chris; grandson Josh Jarvis; five siblings: Virginia Moses and husband Lester, Eula Ennis, Diane Reynolds, Frank Missey, and Bill Missey; In-laws: Bill Moses, Phyllis and Terry Moore, and Rainey Gray; special aunt: Charlotte Mason; dear friends: Judy Cain, Nancy DeClue, Lorene Pankey, and Burnadette Sappington. Lily is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Lily was preceded in death by four siblings: Mary Mercer, Viola Moses, Judy Gray, and Charles Missey; In-Laws: Leona Missey, Linda Missey, Donna Missey, and Tex Ennis.

Lily loved many things. She loved talking on the phone, listening to the scanner, and Christmas—her favorite time of the year. She also loved her family and was especially proud of Josh. Cooking was a passion of hers and was wonderful in the kitchen. She enjoyed planning holiday dinners, attending the family Easter at the CC Camp, and playing games at Christmas. She always made sure everyone had a gift! Lily will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm and will resume on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 9 to 11 am at DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11 am at DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Claude Evans officiating.

** Due to the health and safety of all, facial mask will be required at both the visitation and funeral service.
