Obituary for Linda Scott (Wade)

Linda Scott of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on May 18, 1950 in Mineral Point, a daughter of the late Rev. Floyd M Wade and the late Elsie M (Nettles) Wade. Linda went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from her home surrounded by her family having reached the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 29 days.

On October 27, 1968 Linda was united in marriage Wayne R Scott at Palmer Church and they shared 53 years of memories together.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Scott; three children: Wayne Scott Jr. (Julie), Patty Scott (Dawn Turnbough), and Laura Flugge (Brian); eight grandchildren: Levi, Luke, Lane, and Ivy Scott, Takiesha Cluck-Rice, Jerry Cluck (Cassidy), Aaron Williams (Amber), and Kara Will; six great grandchildren: Ryder, Talon, Dawson, Huntlee, Cameryn, and Addyson; brother, Rev. Robert “Boat” Wade (Joanne); sister, Judy Gensler-Politte (George); sister-in-law, Jane Wade; brother-in-law, Fred Scott; special friends: Loretta Thalman, Adam and Mason Randazzo. Linda also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd Lee Wade and Vern Wade; two sisters: Floy Mae Wade and Reva Boyster; brother-in-law, Dean Gensler; and many other dear relatives.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 5 to 8 pm. Visitation will resume at Hopewell Community Church on Wednesday, May 19, from 9 to 11 am.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11 am held at Hopewell Community Church with Pastor Robert Wade officiating assisted by Pastor Sheldon Marler.

Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to DeClue Funeral Home.
