Obituary for Lohma Ruth Trokey (Strange)

Lohma Trokey went to meet her Lord and Savior and reunite with her loving husband Frank on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 having reached the age of 91 years old.

She was on born on December 9, 1931 in Shirley, MO, the only daughter of the late Roy Strange and the late Hallie (Shepard) Strange.

On July 6, 1974, Lohma was united in marriage to Frank Trokey and they shared forty-five years together.
Lohma was a single parent and provided for her children by working at the Brown Shoe Factory for 25 years. After she retired from the shoe factory, she worked at the R-3 School District for three (3) years. Lohma also worked odd jobs in order to support her family. During the football season, she would wash the football uniforms. On weekends she worked at her dad’s laundromat. She was always a dedicated and a hard worker.

Lohma’s memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her including her four children: Ron Cash (deceased), Karen Cash and her husband Faisal, David Cash and his companion Natalie Boyer, Janet Cash-Koenig and her husband Edwin. Four grandchildren: Cory Cash, Sean Mulvey and wife Brittany, Jody Cash, and Nicki Mulvey. Four great grandchildren: Lillian Alton, Clark Cash, Paxton Mulvey and Collins Mulvey. Brother and sister-in law: Don and Jan Strange and sister-in-law Mary Strange. Also surviving are nieces Christine Strange Wade, Judy Strange Rahe, Lesley Strange Harlan and Kristin Strange Adams. Nephews Jeff and Jamie Strange, Rob Strange, Barry Strange, great nieces and nephews, many cousins, church family and dear friends.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Lohma was preceded in death by her son Ron Cash, brothers Charles, Rolla and Carl Strange. In laws: Mary (Charles) Strange, Joyce Strange, Henry Eaves, Janet Showmaker, Lindel Trokey, Lloyd Trokey, Jr. and Ronnie Trokey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22 with viewing at 11 am with the service beginning at 1 pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Pastors Gary Petty and Gary Greenlee will officiate. Interment will follow at the New Masonic Cemetery.
