Obituary for Mary Alice DeClue (Winick)

Mary Alice DeClue of Potosi, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 having reached the age of ninety years, one month and fifteen days. Mary was born on March 15, 1930 in Washington County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Archie Winick and the late Mary (Hildebrand) Winick.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her son, Charles Dennis DeClue; four grandchildren: Lance DeClue and wife Jaimie, Sara Lawson and husband Clint, Katiya Pride and husband Thomas, Brad Mollett and wife Karen; eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Archie and Mary Winick; her beloved husband, Marvin DeClue; son Marvin “Randy” DeClue; one great granddaughter; seven siblings: Johnny Winick, Robert Winick, James Winick, Albert Winick, Edgar Winick, Lawrence Winick and Anna Pearl.

A Graveside Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at FURNACE CREEK CEMETERY, from 11 AM to 12 PM.

A Graveside Service will immediately follow beginning at 12 PM at FURNACE CREEK CEMETERY.

Flowers are welcomed and will be received at the funeral home for Mrs. DeClue’s service until 9:30 AM on Wednesday.

As we encourage the community to join the family in honoring the life of Mrs. DeClue, we urge everyone to follow the guidelines of our government and health officials regarding personal contact and attending gatherings. We know many will want to express their sympathy directly to the family, but all attendees must practice social distancing for the entire duration of the visitation and service. We also encourage you to wear a protective face mask.
