Melvin Lloyd Emily of Park Hills, Missouri was born on January 29, 1942 in Potosi, Missouri, a son to the late Benjamin Franklin Emily and the late Marquerite (Gloroid) Emily. Melvin passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 having reached the age of seventy-eight years, eleven months and four days.

Melvin is survived by daughters: Suzann Emily and Donna Marshall; two grandchildren: Joshua Marshall and Kayla Marshall; two great-grandchildren: Marley-Ann Stagg and Melody Marshall; siblings: Jerry Emily and wife Carol, Herbert Emily, Mary Lawson and husband Abe; and sister-in-law, Carol Emily. Melvin is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.

Melvin was preceded in death by his wife Tommie Sue Emily, who passed away on December 27, 2020; brothers: Raymond Emily, Robert Emily, Donald Emily and Ben Emily; and sister-in-law, Mary Emily.

A joint memorial visitation with his wife, Tommie, will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, Missouri 63664.

A joint memorial service with his wife, Tommie, will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1 pm at DeClue Memorial Chapel. Full military honors will be presented by the United States Air Force and VFW Post 6996.
