Obituary for Mildred Hunt (Head)
Mildred Hunt of Scheller, Illinois, formerly of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 11, 1927 in Belgrade, Missouri, a daughter of the late Henry William Head and the late Ella Francis (Cain) Head. Mildred departed this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her home at the age of 95.
In addition to her father and mother, Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, William Austin; second husband, John Hunt; three children: Rita Bodimer, Loren Austin, and Oren Austin; nine siblings: Eva Head, Edna Bowles, Emma Link, Mary Minx, Lucy Lawson, Alma Head, Hurshel Head, Versal Head and Melvin Head.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include seven children: William Austin (wife, Gerry), Patrick Austin, Judy Austin, Charles Austin (wife, Julie), Lynda Earhart (husband, Gary), Terry Austin (wife, Michelle), and Verla Myers; and daughter-in-law, Linda Austin. Mildred also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 11 AM until the time of her funeral service at 1 PM held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri, 63664. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served the family of Mrs. Mildred Hunt.
