Obituary for Norma Jean DeClue (Boyer)

Norma Jean DeClue of DeSoto, Missouri, was born on October 13, 1948 in Blackwell, Missouri, a daughter of the late Burnham Francis Boyer and the late Lillie Mae (Huskey) Boyer. Jean as many lovingly knew her by, departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-two years, two months and two days.

On April 4, 1972, Jean was united in marriage to John Francis DeClue.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her two sons: John Daniel DeClue and wife Angela, Jeremy Scott DeClue; grandson, John Daniel “JJ” DeClue II; three siblings: Junior Boyer and wife Monica, Shirley Allison and husband Ronnie, Linda Boley and husband Vernon; sister-in-law: Judy Boyer; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John DeClue; granddaughter, Mackenzie Lynn DeClue (daughter of John and Angela DeClue); three brothers: Donald Boyer, Terry Boyer, and Jerry Boyer; two sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Boyer and Linda Boyer.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. She loved being outdoors, gardening and driving to state and local parks as well as historical sites. Jean was always on the go. When she was not working in the factory of H & J Enterprizes. Jeano will be truely missed by many family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1 pm held at the DeClue Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will be held at St. Joachim Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
