Obituary for Pamela Jane Trokey (Yount)
Pamela Jane Trokey of Potosi, Missouri, was born on July 7, 1958 at Ironton, Missouri, a daughter to Glenwood Yount and Ava Elizabeth (Elliott) Yount. On September 12, 1981, Pam was united in marriage to Steven Eugene Trokey and they shared 37 years together. Pam departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 63.
Those who are left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Clinton Trokey; daughter, Gretchen Simpson (husband, Marty); six grandchildren: Taylor Simpson- Rhyneer (husband, Seth), Karver Trokey, Gracelynn Bess Trokey, Jennifer Edmondson, Jordan (husband, Dave) Kopp, and Lauren Simpson; eight great grandchildren: Alexa, Camilla, Annie, Connor, Evelyn, Titus, Jude and Eliza and soon coming baby Kopp; seven siblings: Georgia Nickelson, Kathleen Richards, Larry Yount (wife, Ruth Ann), Gary Yount (wife, Pat), Mickey Branaugh, Dennis Yount, and Debbie Harbison (husband, Rick); also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
In addition to her father and mother, Pam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Trokey on July 12, 2019; and three brothers-in-law: Gordan Nickelson, Neil Richards, and Denny Branaugh.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday , May 7, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM at the Potosi Elks Lodge #2218. A Memorial Service to honor Pam will immediately follow beginning at 6 PM with Brother Nick French officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions shall be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or by visiting: www.stjude.or/donate
