Obituary for Rachel Maude Eye (Coleman)
Rachel Maude Eye of Potosi, Missouri was born on February 18, 1939 in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter to the late Paul T. Coleman and the late Mabel (McFadden) Coleman. Rachel passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her home at the age of 83.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Alonzo Eye on September 18, 2019; two daughters: Kathy Rachel Rolens and Annie Marie Eye; six grandchildren: Clay Simpson, Seth Elijah Yount, Joanna Simpson, Nicholas Eye, Brandon Bourbon, and Adam Yount; great granddaughter, Nora Cooper; son-in-law, Tim Yount; three siblings: Paul Thomas Coleman Jr, Cora Beth Turnbull, and Lloyd Coleman.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her eight children: Victoria “Vicki” Yount, Donna (Clay) Simpson, Randy Travis Eye, Jody Wayne Eye, Melinda (Eddie) Cooper, Janet (Roger) Bourbon, Mark Eye and David Eye (special friend, Melissa); twenty-six grandchildren: Sarah Beth Fitzwater, Brook Fitzwater, Noah (Shanna) Yount, Carah (Van) Watson, Travis (Melissa) Simpson, Ian (Emily) Simpson, Megan (Devin) Brown, Chris Eye, Breann Eye, Amber Sisco, Carissa Bone, Logan Eye, Wyatt Eye, Josh (Megan) Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Kody Bourbon, Britney (Nick) Niggeman, Chelston Eye, Katie Eye, Zach Eye, Grace Eye, Annie Hatfield-Fleming, Carrigan Eye, Coleman Eye and Jestin (Sydney) Cooper; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and extended family.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 11 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 PM held at DeClue Funeral Home. Clay Simpson will officiate her service. Interment will follow in the Eye Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of DeClue Funeral Home.
