Obituary for Raymond Edward King
Raymond Edward King of DeSoto, Missouri, formerly of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 9, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Leslie R. King and the late Emerald E. (Wiley) King. Raymond departed this life on Friday, March 13, 2020 having reached the age of eighty-one years, seven months and four days.
Raymond is survived by his two sons: Mark King, Rodney King and wife Michele; six grandchildren: Ashley Schotmeyer, Megan Shoults and husband Chris, Emily Settlemoir, Brandon King, Robert Grindstaff and wife Anna, and Mark Smith and wife Ashley; seven great grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Ethan, Rylan, Hunter, Holly and Mark IIII; also surviving are a host of cousins.
In addition to Raymond’s father and mother, he is preceded in death by one sister, Erma Ruth Buckner; niece, Deborah Levall.
Visitation was held DeClue Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 4:30 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
Funeral Services was held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM held at DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alan Berry officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett-Bryan Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
