Obituary for Rita Faye Grow (Littrell)

Rita Faye Grow of Potosi, Missouri, was born on June 11, 1958 in Richwoods, Missouri, a daughter to the late William Littrell and the late Elsie (Vest) Littrell. Rita departed this life on Monday, January 11, 2021 having reached the age of 62 years and 7 months.

On December 31, 1986, Rita was united in marriage to Charlie Grow and they shared 24 years of memories together.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include two step-children: Charla Jackson and Heath Grow; six siblings: Willard Littrell, Betty Bradley and husband George, Laverne Thurmond, Ray Littrell, Art Littrell, and Kenny Littrell and wife Sally; two sisters-in-law: Donna Littrell and Sharon Littrell. Rita is also survived by step grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, dear family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Grow on June 1, 2011; six siblings: Barbara Williams, Opal McCluskey, Margie Sansoucie, David Littrell, Herbie Littrell, Muril Littrell; and In-Laws: Bob Williams, Tim McCluskey, Ervin Sansoucie, Maxine Littrell, Carl Thurmond, Sarah Littrell, and Barbara Littrell.

Rita leaves behind a long list of people who are forever grateful to have been part of her life. Rita may not have had children of her own, but, within her heart, she had adopted every child she ever met. She loved her job working at Happy Days Preschool for 26 years and will be missed by all of them.

Rita will be remembered for many things as she loved living life and would do just about anything she was asked, especially if asked by a child. You can’t think of her without a smile. She loved so many things.  She enjoyed the sunshine and outdoors with camping or spending time unwinding on vacation or shopping.  She loved taking care of animals. She loved being around people she loved whether it be during fellowship at church, singing songs, or even square dancing.  She loved to bake and deliver those treats to her family and friends.

Rita was full of life.  She used her time and energy to devote herself to her family. She was loving and kind. She was faithful to the Lord and loved to praise Him.  She will forever live on in all of the lives she touched.
