Obituary for Rita Ann Pruitt (Barron)

Rita Ann Pruitt of Blackwell, Missouri, was born on November 3, 1942, in St Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (LaChance) Barron. Rita passed away on May 24, 2023, having reached the age of 80.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband, Walter Pruitt; children: Gary Dunn, Eric Dunn, Karen Johnston, Brianna Dunn; step children: Bruce Wesbecher, Curtis Wesbecher (wife, Rae Dean), William Wesbecher, Cheryl Ross, Angeline Guenther, Stephen Pruitt (wife, Debora), Tracy Pruitt and Fiance Amy, Boyd Pruitt (wife, Danielle); grandchildren: Kayla and Daniel Warden, Nick Dunn, Eric Dunn and Kayla Farr, Tyler Dunn and Chelsea Wells, Jeremy and Sarah Wesbecher, Kristen and Mike Dalton, Zach and Taylor Adams, Mackinze Adams, and Gabe Adams, Jamie and Joe Hertz, Janell and Steve Douglas, Shaun Ross and Suzanne Mecalo, Melissa and Daniel Hahn, Christopher and Megan Pruitt, Billey Guenther, Brienna and Dean Hauser, Quaid Pruitt, Noah Pruitt, and Lexie Pruitt; a host of great grandchildren; siblings: Betty Lou Lashley (husband, Roger), Diana Rawlins, Connie Bradley (husband, Danny), Virgil Barron (wife, Marie), Wayne Stringer, and Chris Stringer; and nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by the father of her children, Richard Dunn; second husband, Bill Wesbecher; siblings: Frankie Lee Davis, Dennis Stringer, Nancy Davis, and Glenda Brewer; granddaughters: Rachel Wesbecher and Shana Pruitt.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 12 to 2 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 2 pm, officiated by Pastor James Pashea. Interment will follow at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
