Obituary for Roger Dale Smith
Roger Dale Smith of Potosi, Missouri, was born on February 28, 1952, in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late John Smith and the late Edna L. (Rogers) Smith. Dale passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, having reached the age of seventy years, six months, and seventeen days.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tammy Hinkle (husband, James); granddaughter, Paige Hinkle; siblings: Johnnie Ray Smith and Shirley Flieger.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife on November 2, 2006, Charlotte (Rulo) Smith; and brother, Cecil Smith.
Dale loved to sit and read his Bible and listen to his church music. He loved to go to church when he was able to go with his special friend, Pastor Melvin C. Paige and her papa Dale loved to argue over the phone, just in playing—she loved her papa Dale a lot.
A Visitation will be Monday, September 19, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm, at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664. A Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation at 1pm. Interment will follow at New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point, Missouri.
