Obituary for Ruby Marie Crocker (Eye)

Ruby Marie Crocker of Potosi, Missouri was born on January 14, 1940 a daughter of the late Clyde Rexie Eye and the late Edna Marie (Harper) Eye. Ruby departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

On March 9, 1957, Ruby was united in marriage to Perry Crocker and they shared forty-seven years together.

Those who remain to celebrate her life and cherish her memory include her two daughters: Tammy Haffer and husband Kenny, Pamela Shepard and husband Tim; seven special grandchildren: Matt, Crissy, Rocky, Eric, Tyler, Kami, and Sandy; nine great grandchildren: Kordin, Parker, Keegan, Reese, Hallie, Brielle, Brantley, Owen, and Kourtney; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will deeply miss her.

In addition to her father and mother, Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Perry Crocker on September 5, 2004; dear son, Rocky Crocker on May 30, 2016; grandson, Kevin Fenwick; and six siblings: Lester Eye, Kenneth Eye, Leonard Wayne Eye, Neoma Williams, Edward Eye, and Kathern Portell.
Ruby’s greatest joys in her life were her husband and family. Her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She would light up every time they visited and showered them with love.

She loved the outdoors, especially planting her flowers and working in her yard. She loved to have fun working with her co-workers, many becoming lifelong friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. She worked many years at the YMCA where she retired.

Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1 pm held at the DeClue Chapel. Honoring Ruby by serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Shepard, Eric Shepard, Rocky Crocker, Matt Kramer, Lance Smith, and Danny Conway.

Interment and final prayers will be held at Palmer Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were cared for by DeClue
