Shelba Jean Benson of Kirkwood, Missouri, was born on January 31, 1955, a daughter of the late Sterling and Marie Skiles. Shelba passed away on February 27, 2022, having reached the age of sixty-seven years, and twenty-seven days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband, Lonnie Benson; two children: Brian Benson (Trish), Lonnie Benson II; eight grandchildren: Lizzie, Amber, Mathew, Abby, Kristen, Molly, Kadince, and Jessica; special family friend, Calvin Hatala; several brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Shelba was preceded in death by her siblings: Dennis Skiles, Arthur Skiles, Carolyn (Skiles) Politte, James “Jimmy” Skiles, Barbara Null, and many other dear family members.

A Visitation for Mrs. Benson will be Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 11 to 1 PM at DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral service will proceed the visitation on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 1 PM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel, officiated by Mike Jarvis. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi.
