Obituary for Shirley May Emily (Neff)
Shirley May Emily of Potosi, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020, having reached the age of seventy years, one month, and nine days. Shirley was born on August 15, 1950 in Washington County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Reynold Neff and the late Mary (Bouse) Neff.
On November 22, 1968, Shirley was united in marriage to Michael Emily and they shared fifty one years together.
Those who remain to mourn her passing and cherish her memory include her son, William Emily; three grandchildren: Trinity Emily, Lauren Immekus, and Samantha Emily; two great grandchildren: Liam and Laityn; five siblings: Jimmie Neff, Albert Neff, Leroy Neff, Eugene Neff and wife Judy, and Catherine Kay; In-Laws: Pat and Dennis Medley, Phillip Emily, Tom and Mary Emily, Joan Cresswell, Beverly and Donald Pinckard, Kathy and Pete Conway, and Mandy Emily. Shirley is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her father and mother, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Emily on April 13, 2020; son, Sam Emily; daughter, Angela Immekus; brother, Junior Neff; In-Laws: Gladys Neff, Tom Jarvis, and Russell Cresswell.
A Graveside Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Jarvis Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri, from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm. Pastor Robert Wade will officiate the service.
Funeral services were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
