Obituary for Steve John Kaba, Jr.

Steve John Kaba, Jr., of Farmington, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 having reached the age of ninety-six years, eight months and six days. Steve was born on July 18, 1923 in Szeged, Hungary, a son of the late Steve John Kaba, Sr. and the late Rose Torok.

Steve is survived by three daughters: Sister Annette Marie Kaba, OSF, Ruth Ann Daumen, and Doris Marie Grant and husband David; one son, Steve John Kaba III and wife April; eight grandchildren: Christopher (Krysta) Lohmeyer, Michael (Sarah) Lohmeyer, Joseph Kaba, Steve Kaba IV, Robyn Kaba, Sara (Dustin) Livingston, Sumer Kaba, and Cody Kaba; eight great grandchildren: Kristen Branson, David Newcomer Jr., Elizabeth Lohmeyer, Dade Livingston, Ember Livingston, Chloe Lohmeyer, Ellie Lohmeyer, and Audrey Lohmeyer; one great grandchild, Willow Parker; two sisters: Rose Nemeth and Mary Graf; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his father and mother, Steve was preceded in death by his step-mother, Theresa Kaba; one sister, Catherine Prante; great granddaughter, Amanda Branson; son-in-law, Mike Daumen; four brothers-in-law: George Oscko, George Nemeth Sr., Jerry Prante, and Ralph Graf; niece, Annette Prante and a nephew, George Nemeth Jr.

All services for Mr. Kaba will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online, sending a sympathy card or sending flowers. Pastor Rick Posey will be officiating services.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Mr. Kaba will receive full military honors presented by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 6996.
