Obituary for Theodore Ray Trokey
Theodore Ray Trokey also known by his family and friends as Ted, was born on January 20, 1955 in Mineral Point, Missouri, a son to Theodore Junior Trokey and Gladine (Callahan) Trokey. Ted passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 3, 2022 surrounded by his family having reached the age of 67 years, 8 months and 13 days.
On December 29, 1978, Ted was united in marriage to Sandra Jarvis and they shared forty-three years together. Ted loved hunting, fishing and joking with his family. He always loved to have fun. Ted attended Gospel Trinity Pentecostal Church in Ironton with his wife Sandy. Ted loved the Lord and was always ready to go to church. He enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to gospel music and watching westerns.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his loving wife, Sandy Trokey; three sons: Michael Scott Trokey (wife, Terri), Craig Alan Trokey (wife, Kaleena), and Justin Lee Trokey (Fiancé, Courtney); twelve grandchildren: Kristopher, Dawson, Donavan, Walker, Khy-lee, Jeuline, Alana, Kaedann, Nataly, Korbynn, Amelia, and Karsynn; two great-grandchildren: Athena and Orion; siblings: Leona Tilley, Nancy Cottrill (husband, Mike), Ima Jean Williams (husband, Ron), Jimmy Dale Trokey, William “Billy” Trokey, Roy “Eddie” Trokey (wife, Beth), and Billy Joe Trokey. Ted also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his father and mother, Ted was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Miller (husband, Burt); and great uncle, Lester “Stot” King.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, October 7th from 9 to 11 AM.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11 AM held in the DeClue Chapel. Interment will follow at the Jarvis Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
