Obituary for Thomas Daniel Schutz, Sr.
Thomas Daniel Schutz, Sr. of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on July 16,1948, a son to the late Ernest Schutz and the late Geraldine (Christopher) Schutz. On June 28, 1969, Thomas was united in marriage to Diana F. Mosier and they shared fifty years together. Thomas entered eternal rest on Monday, February 17, 2020 having reached seventy-one years of age.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Wilma Mosier and nephew, Brian Vandergriff.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Schutz; three children: Thomas D. (Kristi) Schutz, Jr., Travis (Angie) Schutz, and Misty (Kevin) Marler; three siblings: Sue (LeRoy) LaChance, James Schutz and Debra Cawley; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; father-in-law, Lester Mosier; in-laws: Roger (Rhonda) Vandergriff, Donald (Kathy) Mosier, and Mickey (Lou) Mosier; also surviving are many dear nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at DeClue Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services for Thomas will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at Mosier Family Cemetery, Mineral Point, following the service. Thomas will receive full military honors presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6947.
