Vernum Edward Horn was born on May 4, 1940 in Stoney Point, Missouri, a son to Orville Horn and Mollie (Mosier) Horn.

On October 8, 1976, Vern was united in marriage to Brenda Marler at Springtown Victory Church and they shared 45 years of life and love together. Vern worked at Chrysler for 26 years. Among some of the many things Vern enjoyed were: coon hunting, fishing, deer hunting, going to yard sales, daily visits with his Hardees buddies, caring for animals, faithfully watching wrestling and westerns such as Gun Smoke and Lone Ranger. Above all things Vern enjoyed, family time was his favorite. He always enjoyed family gatherings, especially fish fries and BBQ’s. He was also a faithful member of Hope Church in Caledonia.

On Sunday, February 20, 2022, Vern was united with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Vern reached the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
