Obituary for William Michael "Willie" Adams, Sr.

William Michael Adams Sr. also known by his family and friends as “Willie” or “Bill” was born on December 19, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late William Adams and the late Cerilda (Geringer) Ross. Bill departed this life on Friday, February 26, 2021 having reached the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

On June 10, 1989, Bill was united in marriage to the love of his life, Debra Peacock and they shared nearly 32 years together.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his step-son, Michael Steven Pyle; sister, Jeanette Adams Morgan; and brother, Thomas Adams.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Debra Adams; son, Michael Adams and Lindsey; daughter, Christine Heywood (husband, Spence); son, Adam Wolf (wife, Nina); six grandchildren: Austin, Madelyn, Elizabella, Jaxon, Trey, and Kolby; two great-grandchildren: Kole and Kane; six siblings: Georgia Davis (husband, Rick), Peggy Cantrall, Teresa Nacy (husband, Kevin), Pam Sweigart (husband, Jim), Cheryl Stoeckel (husband, James), Tammy Zarker (husband, Jason); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Allen Sandefur, Christopher and Karen Peacock, Stephanie and Jim Smith; special aunt and partner in crime, Evelyn Peacock; and special uncle, Wayne Geringer. Willie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Bill enjoyed many things in his life that brought him joy. He was a guide post for anyone needing a friend. One of his favorite past times was helping his good friend, Donnie Mosier work on his race car and give him advice on how to do it.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday, March 4, from 8:30 to 10 am at DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10 am held in the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Jeff Richards officiating. Interment will follow beginning at 2 pm held at Evergreen Cemetery, New Madrid, Missouri.
